I agree that the Ganondorf twist may feel like it robs Zant, but it's a more interesting implementation of Ganondorf than some other games. Plus Ganondorf is just freaking cool and you can't change my mind.

I think pre rendered backgrounds are so special because theyre basically paintings. You see what youre supposed to see from the angle youre supposed to see them from, so they can be composed perfectly - just like a painting.

It's an amazing game. I went to replay it recently but I could not play on the 64. It was so pixelated i could hardly read the text. I fired up an emulator and played it. Upscaled, fit to 16:9 and smoothed polygons with adaptive shading made the game look INCREDIBLE. 1996 was the late 90s?

My favorite pre-rendered backgrounds have to be from Disciples II, they look frickin amazing.

As someone who had swan lake as one of my ONLY barbie movies, youre breaking my fucking heart here ma dude. I always loved it, and still think the visuals are pretty cool. I do agree that the leitmotif is a little overused in it. However you saved my day by putting MY FAVORITE MOVIE OF ALL TIME AT NR ONE THANK YPU SO MUCH!!! Island princess is perfect. And magic of pegasus is probably one of if not the darkest barbie movie of all time, and it rocks

The other games made huge advancements in gameplay, yes. This one has the best interactive story, bar none. Aside from Majora's Mask you don't get a sense of urgency to complete your quest the way you do with Twilight Princess. This game might be the most Metroidvania of the series with section unlocks after significant progress pickups. I don't mind that. Skyward Sword attempted to have a deeper story, but the cut scenes were longer and the characters were fewer. Twilight Princess gives me the most imaginative feeling of the bunch.

Twilight princess is great! All about the sword!! Top 3 is twilight, Ocarina of Time, and skyway sword.

You're right! I'm 40 and the transition betwen 2d and 3d in those years was mind blowing with games like sm64 and Oot. It was realy above the rest. I've never been so excited to get my hands on this game. Exept for Botw, maybe.

The problem with Twilight Princess is you can tell it's fan fair and that it is trying too hard. The story is unnecessary complex and doesn't make sense, it tried too hard to be dark, and there's just a lack of connection to the world. Noone is affected by the twilight and there's no sense of urgency. Everyone is just doing their thing in Castle Town and there's confusion as to why you're even doing everything. Heck, even Ganandorf escaped execution by a "divine prank'" and I'm STILL confused as to what that means. The dungeons are fantastic, I'll give you that. But it feels hollow...

You dont like the water temple because is "confusing and disorientating"... isn´t that exactly whayat a dungeon should be? I divide and respect (i know you dont care) zelda players on their opinion about the water temple into handholding babies and challenge enjoyers. ok, levaving aside having to pause all the time to change the boots, i think this is one of the best dungeons ever made. Surpassing the frustration is exactly what gives you the reward. Me to hated id as a kid.... but perspective changes with time.
